Windsor Continental Corporation Awarded Option Year for Navy AIT Support

Arlington, VA; April 1, 2009 – Windsor Continental Corporation announced today that it has been awarded Option Year 1 of its $18.376 Million dollar task order, under the Navy’s Seaport-e contract, with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), St. Inigoes, MD.  The award allows Windsor to continue to provide technical support services in the analysis, development and application of leading-edge Automatic Identification Technology (AIT).

Under this contract, Windsor has a team of professionals located at the NAVAIR Patuxent River Webster Field Annex supporting the Integrated Communications and Information Systems Division’s Mission Systems Engineering Branch (Code 4.5.10.3) in providing specialized engineering services for the application of AIT.  These unique services are currently being provided to various Department of Defense and other Federal organizations including the Navy, Army and the Department of Homeland Security. 

Windsor’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Bob Eastman, stated, “By exercising this Option Year the Navy has indicated its satisfaction with the professional services and quality of work that Windsor strives to provide to all of its customers.  During the first year of the contract effort Windsor completed nine (9) different Technical Directive Letter (TDL) assignments for which we produce and submitted over 330 technical deliverables.  Being an on-site contractor at the Webster Field Facility has enabled Windsor to establish a partnership with the NAVAIR AIT Team that enhances the experience and capabilities offered to the numerous external customers such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration.  Windsor looks forward to continuing to support the NAVAIR AIT Team over the remaining 4 years of the contract.”
